HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS...FIND OUT WITH US WHAT THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE FOR
Published the 07.09.2020Many do not know what a hydraulic cylinder is, but surely most of you have seen one in action.
FIND OUT WITH US WHAT THEY ARE, HOW THEY ARE MADE AND WHAT THEY ARE FOR.
The hydraulic cylinders, also called hydraulic linear actuators, are composed of two main elements, namely the CYLINDER itself and the PISTON, also known as the rod.
The latter is set in motion thanks to a fluid, usually HYDRAULIC OIL, which, by producing pressure on the piston, generates its movement inside the cylinder.
The hydraulic cylinders are distinguished from the pneumatic ones for the type of fluid used, which as already mentioned is precisely the oil, which unlike gas is not compressible and therefore does not decrease its volume.
This means that these cylinders are more effective and durable, and that they are able to handle very heavy jobs.
They are widely used in the agricultural sector, in industry, in mobility, in the naval sector in earthmoving and in urban services.
Some examples of installations are on agricultural machinery, lifters, cranes and in the mechanical sector.
On the basis of the function they must perform, different types of hydraulic cylinders are distinguished :
- CUSTOM CYLINDERS, designed by us in a personalized way with specific shapes and sizes requested by the customer;
- SIMPLE EFFECT;
- DOUBLE EFFECT;
- TELESCOPIC;
- RODS .
What unites them is the type of materials used as they must be very resistant, therefore steel is preferred.
It is very important to carry out constant maintenance of the hydraulic cylinders by a team of experts to always ensure correct operation and avoid wear over time.
